Our EMC laboratories were designed for this

EMC tests are intended to prepare the products as well as possible for their later use in the field. Therefore, one tries to describe the actually occurring sources of interference and interference sinks in the EMC standards and guidelines. The world of EMC phenomena is usually described in four parts:

  • 1. Conducted emission: The electromagnetic interference emitted by the device under test via its connected cable. These tests are not required, for example, with purely rechargeable or battery-operated devices.
  • 2. Radiated emission: The electromagnetic interference emitted by the device under test via the medium air. Both the connected cables and the components themselves can be seen as “sources of interference”.
  • 3. Conducted susceptibility: Simulates the electromagnetic interference immunity of the device under test on its connected cables. These tests are not required, for example, with purely rechargeable or battery-operated devices.
  • 4. Radiated susceptibility: Simulates the electromagnetic immunity of the device under test via the medium air. Both the connected cables and the components themselves can be seen as "interference sinks".

All four of the phenomena mentioned can be generated or tested in the EMC laboratories of MeßTechnikNord GmbH.

Performance Spectrum Emission Tests

The following list a part from our spectrum related to the measurement of emitted interference. Even if your requirements are not covered here, please contact us, we will usually find a solution anyway. Be it through new acquisitions, rent equipment or in cooperation with one of our partner laboratories.

  • Spectrum Analyser, EMI Test Receiver, FFT-Analysis
  • Frequency Range DC – 26.5 GHz
  • Antennas H-Field 1 Hz – 50 MHz
  • Antennas E-Field 30 Hz – 18 GHz
  • Field probes E-Field 1 Hz – 40 GHz up to 3000 V/m peak
  • Field probes H-Field DC – 60 MHz up to 2 Tesla
  • Current probes DC – 1 GHz up to 3000 A
